The bridge has a hole in it behind the pegs where it looked like it has been drilled for some reason. The body of the guitar is in fair condition, it has some apparent damage on the front shown in the photos and the usual scratches and dings on the back and sides. Neck is in good condition with a few noticeable dings scattered across the back. Head is in very good condition with only one or two dings at the very top of the headstock. This guitar offers a lot of bang for your buck – give me a well-made vintage acoustic over a new guitar at a similar price point any day. The detailing is very well-executed and of a high quality – the ‘Tree Of Life’ fretboard is stunning. The build quality and attention to detail is very good indeed – Japanese guitars from this era can be superb and outclass their American counterparts. Tonally this one’s all you’d hope for from a good vintage acoustic with quality woods that have had several decades to mature.

Morris guitars are mostly based on classic American models from Martin and Gibson.
